Exhibition Schedule + Submission Guidelines

 You must be a College of Charleston student to enter (you do not need to be a studio art major).

**PLEASE NOTE—all submissions due on the 15th of each month by 5 PM in the independent studio spaces (4th floor of the Simons Center for the Arts)

**Pick up rejected work on the 17th of each month by 5PM

 **Pick up accepted work at the end of the show, the 14th of each month by 5 PM from the independent studio spaces (4th floor of the Simons Center for the Arts)

**Receptions for shows are on the First Friday of each month beginning in October in the CATO Center for the Arts.

 

Why submit to the gallery?

**public exposure and a legitimate exhibition to put on your resume–helpful for graduate school application and/or application to galleries.

**several students have been approached by Charleston galleries after having their work in a Visual Arts Club Exhibition (including the Young Contemporaries Exhibition)

**gain real art world experience by going through the jurying process

SCHEDULE: 

Summer Show: August 17th-October 14th

Juror: Karen Ann Meyers

August 15—submissions for Summer Show due at 5PM

August 16—jury for Summer Show

August 17—Summer Show goes up, pick up rejected work by 5PM

October 5—Reception for Summer Show

October 14—end of Summer Show, pick up work by 5PM

 

Still Life Show: October 17th-November 14th

Juror: Robert Lang

October 15—submissions for Still Life Show due at 5PM

October 16—jury for Summer Show

October 17—Summer Show goes up, pick up rejected work by 5PM

November 2—Reception for Still Life Show

November 14—end of Still Life Show, pick up work by 5PM

Figurative Show: November 17th-December 14th

Juror: Rebekah Jacob

November 15—submissions for Figurative Show due by 5PM

November 16—jury for Figurative Show

November 17—Figurative Show goes up, pick up rejected work by 5PM

December 7—Reception for Figurative Show

December 14th—end of Figurative Show, pick up work by 5PM

A schedule for Spring 2013 shows will be distributed at the November and December meetings and posted on the website during that time.
