Jail Break 2 is an all encompassing arts festival held at the historic Old City Jail in downtown Charleston. The focus of the festival is to provide an outlet for local artists to present their work at one of the most unique venues in downtown Charleston. The festival will also provide a great opportunity to raise awareness of the American College of Building Arts (ACBA), the students and their works! The doors will open up to the public at 12pm where patrons will find that the Jail has been converted into a gallery, displaying works by local visual artists and students from the ACBA. Also, live music and dance instillations will be featured inside the jail throughout the day. Interactive festivities such as live painting, arts and crafts, live music and demonstrations of various building arts by students from ACBA will be held outside in the main yard of the jail. Food and beverage will also be available for purchase in the main yard throughout the festival.

Submitted artwork should be labeled with the following information:

artist name
title of work
price (In order to encourage sales, we recommend pieces to be priced no greater than $500)
medium (optional)

On Friday, Nov. 11 all artwork will be displayed in the Old City Jail and stored overnight in preparation for the event on Saturday. While utmost care will be provided while handling all artwork, we are not responsible for damages incurred. Visual artists are encouraged to be present during the event to represent their work, however, event personnel will be responsible for running all sales (both cash and credit card will be accepted). A 20% commission will be used to support funding of the event. Unsold artwork needs to be picked up at the end of the event. Event breakdown will take place between 11 p.m. and midnight.
